I understand that by selecting "Yes I want to Proceed Now", I am registering to M1 Net's Wireless@SG Basic Free WIFI Access service. I shall login to the Wireless@SG network in order to access the service and agree to provide the information required in the following screen. 

The terms & conditions herein are applicable in addition to M1 Net's General Terms and Conditions, Acceptable Use Policy (Personal) /Acceptable Use Policy (Business) and Fraud and Abuse Protection. For the avoidance of doubt, these terms and conditions, subject to the amendment provisions contained therein, shall continue to apply after the free service period as long as the service is provided. 

M1 Net does not guarantee the suitability of the wireless service for any specific application. Signal strength which may vary or fail altogether due to certain factors which are not within M1 Net's control, including, but not limited to, building structure, building material, natural or artificial barriers, electrical or electromechanical interference and weather. M1 Net shall not be liable for any loss arising from such failure

Due to the nature of the wireless access, there is an inherent risk of wrongful, illegal or unauthorised access by third parties to the User's computer(s) and/or account(s). The User hereby acknowledges and accepts the risk of such wrongful, illegal or unauthorised access and hereby agrees that M1 Net shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from such failure.

The User agrees not to use the service in violation of any laws or regulations applicable from time to time or to misuse the service in any manner deemed inappropriate by M1 Net, including the use of SSIDs associated with Wireless@SG (i.e. Wireless@SG and Wireless@SGx) as their own personal hotspot name.

The User agrees to be responsible for the security settings of their devices used to access Wireless@SG and shall be responsible for ensuring that the operating system and the anti-virus software installed in their devices are up-to-date .

The User hereby undertakes:

• to use the service in a responsible manner, taking into account the effects his use of the service may have on other users and the network;
• not to use, or allow anyone else to use, the service:
  • for any misuse of Computer Misuse and Cybersecurity Act (CMCA), unlawful, illegal, malicious or improper purpose;
  • to knowingly transmit a computer virus or other malicious computer program, or unsolicited messages/ emails
  • in any way which interferes with its availability for other users or otherwise interferes in the proper operation of the service;
  • to access or damage anothers computer system without permission;
  • to infringe intellectual property rights;
  • to disclose confidential information of another person;
  • to store, publish, display, distribute or post material that is obscene, offensive, defamatory, abusive or that is in violation of any law;
  • to enable a minor to access material that is inappropriate for a minor;
  • to harass any person;
  • to conduct or promote a business that is illegal;
  • to engage in misleading or deceptive marketing practices or to conduct or be part of a business that is illegal;
  • to breach any laws or third party rights or to breach any standards, content requirements or codes promulgated by any relevant authority or industry body;
  • to engage in any activity which would or is likely to generate network traffic in excess of reasonable and normal usage, cause network congestion or affect other users enjoyment and/or use of the services;
  • to transmit or distribute or broadcast any bulk emails or spam unless otherwise permitted under applicable laws, or transmit or distribute or broadcast any commercial advertisements or marketing messages in a significant or voluminuous manner, without M1 Nets prior approval in writing or unless an appropriate service bundle has been subscribed to.
• not to resell the service or its component or content provided via the service;
• in relation to email, not to use the service to :
  • send bulk unsolicited email to others;
  • send email that conceals its sender, that contains invalid or forged headers or domain names or deceptive addressing;
  • receive responses from bulk unsolicited email sent, even if not sent via the service;
  • relay email from a third partys mail server without consent;
  • collect or harvest screen names or email addresses of others for the purpose of sending unsolicited emails or for exchange;
  • send large or numerous emails with the purpose of disrupting anothers computer or account;
  • send email that may damage or affect the performance of the recipients computer;
  • persistently send email without reasonable cause or for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to any person;
  • subscribe anyone to a mailing list or similar service without his permission.
• in relation to newsgroups, not to use the service to:
  • engage in mass posting of messages or the posting of messages to inappropriate newsgroups, the appropriateness of which is to be determined by M1 Net;
  • post advertisements in newsgroups that do not encourage or permit advertising;
  • post binary in newsgroups that do not encourage or permit such postings;
  • post large or numerous messages with the purpose of disrupting a newsgroup; or
  • send messages that contain invalid or forged headers or domain names or deceptive addressing.

The User agrees that any violation of the above terms and conditions may result in a demand for:

• immediate removal of offending material;
• immediate temporary or permanent filtering, blocked access, suspension of the Users account or termination of the service ; or
• any other action appropriate to the violation as determined by M1 Net and/or IMDA in their sole discretion and all rights and remedies available to M1 Net and/or IMDA with respect to such activities at law or in equity .

The User acknowledges that the User has read and agreed to the terms of the M1 Data Protection Policy (Policy) . The User further acknowledges that (a) the Policy shall, to the extent applicable, apply to this and any other related services that the User may subscribe to; and (b) the Users consent to the Policy may only be withdrawn via the withdrawal process as stated in the Policy.

M1 Net reserves the right to terminate the User's account at any time due to breach or non-compliance of any of the above terms and conditions referred to above which are applicable and binding on the User at all times.
