What it does:
Enables the monitoring of energy consumption of each circuit.

Smart Adapter (EnergyMate)

What it does:
Connects to your Smart DB to track electricity usage by circuit.

• The Smart Adapter (EnergyMate) is installed in the service closet of selected HDB projects as part of the HEMS pilot.

Smart Home Hub (EnergyHub)

What it does:
Links all your smart home appliances and enables remote control and automation.

What it does:
Uses AI to detect and monitor the energy usage of individual appliances. You’ll also get smart alerts and personalised usage tips.

Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM) is a smart system that identifies which appliances are in use based on their energy usage patterns — without the need for additional sensors or smart plugs. It also provides personalised energy-saving tips and insights. The home energy management system offers appliance-level recognition, supporting the monitoring of household energy consumption.

The system learns the appliance energy usage patterns and identifies any out of the norm energy consumption range – such as a fridge using more power than usual or an air conditioner switched on for an unusually long period. These alerts can help prevent energy wastage, improve safety and detect potential faults early.

Yes, you can. By understanding how electricity is used in your household, you can make smart choices that help lower your utility bills and create a more comfortable and sustainable lifestyle. Simple actions such as turning off unused appliances and reducing standby power can lead to meaningful savings over time. 

Even without smart appliances, you can monitor the energy consumption of each circuit .

However, if you choose to adopt the smart appliances later, you’ll be able to control the compatible smart appliances and automate energy-saving routines through the Smart Life app.

Your home is already equipped with the key components required for basic energy monitoring. You can start by downloading the Smart Life App to view your energy usage. Additional devices and subscriptions are optional, depending on the level of insights and features you would like.
