Roaming Services

  1. Roaming tariffs, destinations offerings and networks on all promotions are subject to change without prior notice.

  2. Local GPRS charge of S$0.107/10KB applies for data usage via Miworld Mobile while roaming, applicable to all data enabled networks and promotions for postpaid customers.

  3. SMS charge of 5.35¢ applies for each roaming SMS sent to Singapore numbers (or deducted from mobile plan bundle), in addition to the prevailing roaming SMS charge.

  4. SMS charge of 15¢ applies for each roaming SMS sent to non-Singapore numbers, in addition to the prevailing roaming SMS charge.

  5. MMS charge of 32.1¢ (30kb and below) or 85.6¢ (above 30kb) applies for each roaming MMS sent to Singapore numbers (or deducted from mobile plan bundle), in addition to the prevailing roaming data / MMS charge.

  6. MMS charge of 30¢ (30kb and below) or 80¢ (above 30kb) applies for each roaming MMS sent to non-Singapore numbers, in addition to the prevailing roaming data / MMS charge.

  7. All non-business registered postpaid customers (above the age of 18) are automatically provided with Pay Per Use Roaming (Voice & SMS service). Roaming services are not available for foreigners holding work permit, dependent pass, long term visit pass or student pass.

  8. Pay Per Use Roaming customers are charged 20% more on top of prevailing roaming rates or promotional rates.

  9. GPRS/MMS are charged in blocks of 10KB, unless stated otherwise.

  10. All roaming tariffs are in Singapore Dollars and are not subjected to GST.

  11. Daily usage on data roaming charges will be displayed in Singapore time GMT +8.

  12. M1 reserves the right to amend or vary these terms and conditions for the Service. All amendments will be published online at www.m1.com.sg and you agree that such publication is sufficient notice to you of such changes. Please check back periodically to ensure that you are aware of any such changes. You will be deemed to have accepted the changes by your continued use of the Service.

  13. We may, at our sole discretion, extend help and assistance to you beyond the Service as an act of goodwill but shall in no event be obliged to provide the same. The provision of such help and assistance shall in no event be deemed an acknowledgement and/or acceptance of any liability on M1's part.

  14. No delay or failure by M1 to take any action or to enforce or exercise any of its rights under the terms and conditions of the Agreement will operate as a waiver of such rights by M1, nor will such failure or delay in any way prejudice or affect M1's rights at any time thereafter to act strictly in accordance with its rights under such terms and conditions.

  15. All services are subject to M1’s General Terms and Conditions available at m1.com.sg. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between any terms, such conflict or inconsistency shall, in the absence of any express agreement to the contrary, be resolved in a manner most favourable to M1, to the fullest extent permissible under applicable laws.
  1. Promotional $10/month United Arab Emirates Data Passport for 12 months (U.P. $25/mth) is applicable for new activations from 1 Dec 2017 till further notice, for 12 months from date of first activation; thereafter prevailing monthly subscription of United Arab Emirates Data Passport shall apply.

  2. Subscription to Data Passport is subject to applicable terms and conditions. For full terms and conditions of Data Passport, please click here.

  3. Promotion is not transferable and is limited to one redemption per new line sign-up or re-contract.

  4. Promotion cannot be exchanged for cash and other items and are not valid with any other discounts, vouchers or promotions, unless otherwise stated. Any unutilised amount for the offers will not be refunded and cannot be used to offset other promotions.

  5. All services are subject to M1 registration guidelines, General Terms and Conditions and other applicable specific terms and conditions available at m1.com.sg. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the terms, such conflict or inconsistency shall, in the absence of any express agreement to the contrary, be resolved in a manner most favourable to M1, to the fullest extent permissible under applicable laws. M1 reserves the right to vary any term or condition. M1 will, where it is practicable to do so, give customers advance notice (which may be through written notice, electronic mail, letters, M1 website, bills or such other forms as M1 deems appropriate) of such changes.
  1. $10 daily Unlimited Data Roaming is only applicable for SunSurf Mobile, MiWorld Mobile and BlackBerry APN.

  2. This promotion is only applicable in United Arab Emirates on du network, till further notice.

  3. In order to enjoy the full benefits of this promotion, Customers using Multi-SIMs when roaming in the selected countries should ensure that all SIMs are logged onto the applicable partner networks.

  4. Data charges are calculated on a per network and per day basis, based on Singapore Time (GMT +8).

  5. Data charges are capped at $10 daily for Roaming Subscription customers and $12 daily for Pay Per Use Roaming customers.

  6. For data roaming usage below $10, Roaming Subscription customers will be charged at $0.20 per 10KB. For data roaming usage below $12, Pay Per Use Roaming customers will be charged at $0.24 per 10KB.

  7. All services are subject to M1 registration guidelines, General Terms and Conditions and other applicable specific terms and conditions available at m1.com.sg. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the terms, such conflict or inconsistency shall, in the absence of any express agreement to the contrary, be resolved in a manner most favourable to M1, to the fullest extent permissible under applicable laws. M1 reserves the right to vary any term or condition. M1 will, where it is practicable to do so, give customers advance notice (which may be through written notice, electronic mail, letters, M1 website, bills or such other forms as M1 deems appropriate) of such changes.
  1. $15 daily Unlimited Data Roaming is only applicable for SunSurf Mobile, MiWorld Mobile and BlackBerry APN.

  2. This promotion is only applicable on specific partner networks in selected countries.

  3. In order to enjoy the full benefits of this promotion, Customers using Multi-SIMs when roaming in the selected countries should ensure that all SIMs are logged onto the applicable partner networks.

  4. Data charges are calculated on a per network and per day basis, based on Singapore Time (GMT +8).

  5. Data charges are capped at $15 daily for Roaming Subscription customers and $18 daily for Pay Per Use Roaming customers.

  6. For data roaming usage below $15, Roaming Subscription customers will be charged at $0.20 per 10KB. For data roaming usage below $18, Pay Per Use Roaming customers will be charged at $0.24 per 10KB.

  7. All services are subject to M1’s General Terms and Conditions available at m1.com.sg. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between any terms, such conflict or inconsistency shall, in the absence of any express agreement to the contrary, be resolved in a manner most favourable to M1, to the fullest extent permissible under applicable laws.
  1. $25 daily Unlimited Data Roaming is only applicable for SunSurf Mobile, MiWorld Mobile and BlackBerry APN.
    1. This promotion is only applicable on specific partner networks in Japan.
    2. Data charges are calculated on a per network and per day basis, based on Singapore Time (GMT +8).

  2. $25 daily Unlimited In-flight Data Roaming is only applicable for SunSurf Mobile, MiWorld Mobile and BlackBerry APN.
    1. This promotion is only applicable on OnAir and AeroMobile network on specific flights on selected airlines where in-flight connectivity is available.
    2. Data charges are calculated on a per day basis, based on Singapore Time (GMT +8).

  3. In order to enjoy the full benefits of both promotions, Customers using Multi-SIMs when roaming in-flight and the selected countries should ensure that all SIMs are logged onto the applicable partner networks.

  4. Data charges are capped at $25 daily for Roaming Subscription customers and $30 daily for Pay Per Use Roaming customers.

  5. For data roaming usage below $25, Roaming Subscription customers will be charged at $0.20 per 10KB. For data roaming usage below $30, Pay Per Use Roaming customers will be charged at $0.24 per 10KB.

  6. All services are subject to M1’s General Terms and Conditions available at m1.com.sg. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between any terms, such conflict or inconsistency shall, in the absence of any express agreement to the contrary, be resolved in a manner most favourable to M1, to the fullest extent permissible under applicable laws.
  1. The M1 Data Passport service (“Service”) may be activated on the following service plans, for use with the bundled local data for data roaming in the selected Data Passport country and on the applicable preferred network.

  2. The Service may also be activated for use with local data bundles from Plan Add-ons, Bundle Packs, Upsized Data, 5GB for $5 mySIM Add-on, BlackBerry BIS+ value-added services, as well as data benefits from Partner Benefits, Youth Benefits, Senior Benefits and SurfShare plans.

  3. Data roaming usage in selected Data Passport countries on the applicable preferred network will be converted and deducted from the local data bundles on a daily basis, during which there must be an active and valid subscription of the Service on your mobile/mobile broadband service plan. Daily usage is based on Singapore time 00:00 to 23:59 GMT +8. Data roaming usage in selected Data Passport countries on non-preferred networks or without a valid Data Passport subscription will be charged at prevailing postpaid roaming mobile data charges.

    Lite, Lite+, Reg, Reg+, Max, Max+, i-Lite, i-Lite+, i-Reg, iReg+, i-Max, i-Max+, mySIM 30, mySIM 45, mySIM 75, mySIM 125, mySIM+ 15, mySIM+ 20, mySIM+ 30, mySIM+ 45, mySIM+ 75, mySIM+125, mySIM3 20, mySIM3 40, mySIM3 50, mySIM3 98, mySIMe 40, mySIMe 70, mySIMe 90, mySIMe 118, mySIMs, ConnectSurf, BlackBerry MessageSurf+ and SurfShare. SurfLite, SurfReg, SurfMax, SurfValue, mData 1GB, mData Value+, mData Lite+, mData Max+, iPad Lite, iPad Lite+, iPad Value+, iPad Max and iPad Max+. For plans with Free Local Data Bundle, excess usage above the Free Local Data Bundle will be charged at $2.14 per MB, up to $10.70 per GB, and capped at $188.32 per month. Customers on the mySIM3 98 / mySIMe 118 plan bundled with unlimited data may use up to 30GB per month to data roam with the relevant Data Passport subscription, after which excess usage will be charged at $10.70/GB. A monthly data bill cap of $188.32 will also apply.
    ValueSurf+, LiteSurf+, Extreme Surf+, MaxSurf+, iPhone Value+, iPhone Lite+, iPhone Extreme+, iPhone Max+ mData Value+, mData Lite V+, mData Max V+, Data Max+. For plans with Free Local Data Bundle, excess usage above the Free Local Data Bundle will be charged at (a) $1.07 per MB, up to $5.35 per GB capped at $94.16 per month; or (b) $2.14 per MB, up to $10.70 per GB, and capped at $188.32 per month, as may be applicable.

  4. Usage in excess of the local data bundles will be charged at local rates with a data bill cap (if applicable) in accordance with usage charges specified for the respective mobile/mobile broadband service plans, value-added services and data benefits.

  5. When a mobile/mobile broadband service plan is subscribed to the Service and Roaming Data Bundles concurrently, only usage of the Service on preferred networks will apply as the local data bundle will be utilized until the monthly data bill cap is reached. Data roaming usage on non-preferred networks will be deducted from Roaming Data Bundles, if applicable.

    Usage of the Service cannot be combined with usage on the $15 / $25 daily Unlimited Data Roaming and Roaming Data Bundles.

  6. You may choose to select either a one-month subscription period (One-month Data Passport) or a recurring subscription period (Recurring Data Passport) for the Service.
    • One-month Data Passport is valid for a month and expires automatically thereafter. To illustrate,
      1. Should you successfully subscribe for One-month Data Passport on 30 June, the last day of Service will fall on 29 July.
      2. However, if you activate One-month Data Passport on an ‘end-of-month’ day which does not exist in the subsequent shorter month, Data Passport (one month) will last until a day before the last day of the subsequent shorter month. As a further illustration, should you successfully subscribe on 31 January, the last day of Service will fall on 27 February (on a non-leap year) and 28 February (on a leap year). Should you successfully subscribe on 31 March, the last day of Service will fall on 29 April.
    • Recurring Data Passport will be valid on a monthly recurring basis until de-activated.

  7. You may activate or terminate the Service via Manage My Account, My M1 App or USSD *123#. Please note however that the One-month Data Passport is not available through USSD *123#. You will receive a confirmation SMS upon service activation and/or de-activation. The confirmation SMS will be sent to Multi-SIM subscribers on the primary line only. Upon receiving a confirmation SMS on Service activation, local data bundles may be used for data roaming.

  8. Upon Service activation with a one-month subscription period, a one-time Service activation fee of $5 in addition to $10 / $25 / $50 subscription fee per selected Data Passport will be charged respectively. The $10 / $25 / $50 subscription fee will be charged once.

  9. Upon Service activation with a recurring subscription period, a one-time Service activation fee of $5 in addition to $10 / $25 / $50 subscription fee per selected Data Passport will be charged respectively. The $10 / $25 / $50 subscription fee will be charged monthly.

  10. You may only activate either a One-month Data Passport or a Recurring Data Passport of the same country or regional Service. To illustrate, if you have activated a One-month Data Passport for Thailand, you may not subscribe to a Recurring Data Passport for Thailand until the One-month Data Passport for Thailand has expired or is de-activated; and vice versa.

  11. You may only activate the same Data Passport once at any one time. To illustrate, if you are on an existing One-month Data Passport for Thailand, during that month, you cannot subscribe to a further One-month Data Passport for Thailand (the same country or region) until the earlier One-month Data Passport has expired or is de-activated.

  12. An additional $5 monthly subscription fee will apply if you are already subscribed to M1’s Multi-SIM service. This additional $5 monthly subscription fee applies irrespective of the number of Data Passport countries selected and Multi-SIMs subscribed.

  13. For the avoidance of doubt, GST does not apply on the Service activation fee and subscription fees. The Service activation fee and subscription fees will not be pro-rated in any circumstances.

  14. Usage of the Service will require activation of voice, SMS and data roaming. Upon Service activation, you are deemed to have agreed to activate these roaming services on your mobile/mobile broadband service plan for use with the Service (as may be applicable). Termination of these roaming services will automatically de-activate the Service.

  15. These M1 Data Passport Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) shall take effect upon Service activation and shall continue until the Service is terminated. M1 reserves the right to terminate any subscription for lawful reasons at any time and M1 will, where practicable, give notice of such termination in such form as M1 deems appropriate.

  16. M1 reserves the right to modify or revise these Terms from time to time upon notice in such manner as M1 deems appropriate, which may include publication of such amended Terms on www.m1.com.sg. You are encouraged to check back periodically to ensure that you are aware of any such amendments. Your continued use of the Service will constitute your acceptance of these Terms as may be amended.

  17. The Data Passport service is provided subject to your compliance with these terms, M1’s General Terms and Conditions, the specific terms and conditions for use of Mobile/Mobile Broadband services as applicable, and the specific terms and conditions for use of Roaming Services as stated on www.m1.com.sg. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between any applicable terms and conditions, such conflict and inconsistency shall, in the absence of any express agreement to the contrary, be resolved in a manner most favourable to M1, to the fullest extent permissible under Applicable Laws.
  1. Network Lock is a complimentary feature that is provisioned with the activation of Data Roaming services. The Network Lock feature will automatically be removed upon de-activation of the aforementioned services.

  2. You may activate or de-activate Network Lock via Manage My Account, My M1 App or USSD *123#. You will receive a confirmation SMS upon service activation and/or de-activation. The confirmation SMS will be sent to Multi-SIM subscribers on the primary line only.

  3. When Network Lock is activated in any of the countries on the Network Lock List, Data Roaming will be enabled only on the preferred networks, as stated.

    ^Jazz and WaridTel are the preferred networks in Pakistan from 10 July 2019 00:30hrs SGT. To data roam on WaridTel after the change, restart your device and select the preferred network.

    #The preferred network in Denmark is TDC while the preferred network in Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden is Tele2 from 17 July 2019 00:30hrs SGT. To data roam after the change, restart your device and select the new preferred networks.


  4. When Network Lock is activated in countries not listed on the Network Lock List, Data Roaming will be enabled on any available roaming network.

  5. When Network Lock is de-activated, Data Roaming will be enabled on all available roaming networks (including the countries listed on the Network Lock List).

  6. For the avoidance of doubt, the Network Lock feature is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis and you accept that your access or use of Data Roaming services are at your own risk. To the fullest extent permissible under applicable laws, M1 has excluded, and continues to exclude all statutory or tortious liability (save for death or personal injury arising out of negligence) and disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. M1 has does not represent or warrant that the Data Roaming services will be provided uninterrupted or be available at all times or free from defects, errors or viruses or that any identified defect can be corrected. To the extent M1 provides you with assistance in connection with any of the above, such assistance shall in no event be deemed an acknowledgement and/or acceptance of any liability on M1's part. Any waivers offered to you by M1 in its discretion shall be out of goodwill.

  7. M1 reserves the right to modify or revise these Network Lock Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) from time to time upon notice in such manner as M1 deems appropriate, which may include publication of such amended Terms on www.m1.com.sg. You are encouraged to check back periodically to ensure that you are aware of any such amendments. Your continued use of Data Roaming services will constitute your acceptance of these Terms as may be amended.

  8. M1’s General Terms and Conditions available at www.m1.com.sg are deemed incorporated herein and shall apply. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the terms, such conflict or inconsistency shall, in the absence of any express agreement to the contrary, be resolved in a manner most favourable to M1, to the fullest extent permissible under applicable laws.
