Keep your roaming usage

Get Data Roaming Cap (DRC) and your data roaming usage will suspend automatically once it reaches $100. Otherwise, subscribe to Data Roaming Alert (DRA) and get alerts when data roaming usage hits pre-set levels of $50, $100 and $200.

Note that you may only subscribe to either DRC or DRA at any one time.

Both services are provided free!

Activation, De-activation And Resetting

 

Activation and De-activation:

1. Access the Roaming Tab, select Subscribe to more services and choose $100 Data Roaming Cap.

2. Select Subscribe / Unsubscribe.

3. Select Confirm and OK to subscribe / unsubscribe. You will receive a confirmation SMS once the service is activated / de-activated.

You may reset your DRC counter to continue using data or it will be reset automatically at the start of each bill cycle. By resetting the counter to $0, you will be liable for data roaming charges above $100, if applicable.

 

To reset DRC counter:

1. Access the Roaming Tab, select View All to select $100 Data Roaming Cap

2. Select Reset

3. Select Confirm and OK to reset. You will receive a confirmation SMS when Data Roaming Cap is reset

4. Restart your device if you are unable to connect to data

 

You must be subscribed to either Roaming Subscription or Pay-Per-Use Roaming and have Data Roaming activated, in order to activate $100 Data Roaming Cap.

 

Activation:

1. Log into Self Service Portal

2. Expand on Services and select Roaming

3. Select Roaming Services tab and click on $100 Data Roaming Cap toggle button

4. Select Confirm and you will receive a confirmation SMS once the service is activated

 

De-activation:

1. Log into Self Service Portal

2. Expand on Services and select Roaming

3. Select Roaming Services tab and click on $100 Data Roaming Cap toggle button

4. Select Confirm and you will receive a confirmation SMS once the service is de-activated

 

Activation:

1. Call *123# and input to select Data Roaming Cap

2. Input to activate / de-activate $100 Data Roaming Cap

3. You will receive a confirmation SMS once the service is activated / de-activated

Take Control Of Your Roaming Usages

 
1. What is the Data Roaming Cap service?

It is a free service provided by M1 that allows customers to limit their Data Roaming usage to under $100. Data Roaming services will be cut off upon reaching the cap/usage limit. Pre-termination SMS alerts will be sent at $80, followed by the termination SMS alert when Data Roaming services is cut off at the cap limit. However, customers may not receive such SMS alerts through certain devices (e.g. laptops, tablets) and under certain circumstances (e.g. foreign network conditions). This service helps customers avoid ‘bill shocks’.

2. What are the charges for the Data Roaming Cap?

There is no subscription or registration fee. The service is completely free. However, SMS activation from overseas will incur SMS roaming charges.

3. Who is eligible for the subscription to the Data Roaming Cap?

Only M1 Postpaid customers will be eligible for the Data Roaming Cap.
