- What are Premium Rate Services?
Premium Rate Services (PRS) are value-added services provided over a public telecommunications network which consists of the provision of content/facility e.g. information, quizzes, games, 1900 charity donations etc. for which charges are over and above standard network charges, send with a short code to 1460XXXX.
- What is Premium Rate Services (PRS) Barring Service?
When a customer subscribes to PRS Barring Service, customers will not be able to access to all PRS (pay per use or with monthly subscription) (i) billed through M1; and (ii) provided by M1. Thus, customers will not be charged for PRS. All existing PRS that the customer has previously subscribed to will be terminated and any applicable early termination charges for the termination of existing PRS subscriptions shall apply.
- Who can sign-up for PRS Barring Service?
This service is available for both M1 Postpaid and Prepaid Mobile customers.
- How do I sign-up for PRS Barring Service?
You can sign-up for the service via the following channels:
- Activate via Manage My Account
- Activate via My M1 App
- #100*8*1# (For Prepaid customers only)
- Visit any M1 Shop
- For Bespoke customers, can unsubscribe via M1+ App
- Will I be charged for subscribing to PRS Barring Service?
Service is free for all first-time subscribers. For postpaid customers who unsubscribe to PRS Barring Service and thereafter re-subscribe to this Barring Service, a registration fee of $10.90 will apply. For prepaid customers, PRS Barring Service is free of charge for all first-time and re-subscribers of the PRS Barring Service.
- I only want to un-subscribe myself from some of the Premium Rate Services that I have. Is it possible?
No, once you are subscribed to PRS Baring Service, you will not be able to access to all PRS (pay per use or with monthly subscription) (i) billed through M1; and (ii) provided by M1. Thus, customers will not be charged for PRS. All existing monthly subscription PRS that the customer has previously subscribed will be terminated.
- I received an SMS alert indicating that I have already blocked any Premium Rate Services. What is this alert?
You received this alert as you have tried to sign-up, access or download any Premium Rate Services after you subscribed to PRS Barring Service. To unblock PRS Barring Service, login to Manage My Account or call 1627 for assistance for postpaid customers and dial #100*8*2# for prepaid customers.
