M1 steps forward to help SMEs secure their digital future

Range of digital services and solutions
to support the digital transformation needs of Singapore’s SMEs

SINGAPORE, 5 NOVEMBER 2019 – In an effort to support Singapore’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs), M1 Limited (M1) is pleased to announce its participation in the Start Digital initiative, launched earlier this year by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Enterprise Singapore.

The Start Digital programme is aimed at helping newly-incorporated SMEs and new adopters of digital solutions, to get a headstart in their digital journey. Under this initiative, SMEs can take up any two foundational and competitively priced solutions from these five categories – accounting, HR and payroll, digital marketing, digital transaction and cybersecurity. For SMEs who sign up for a minimum 18-month contract, costs are waived for at least six months.

M1 currently provides a wide range of infocomm technology (ICT) capabilities and business solutions to governments, large enterprises and SMEs. To future-proof SMEs, M1 provides technology solutions such as hardware and software support, managed IT infrastructure, cloud services, enterprise computing, managed network, managed security, and other managed services.

M1 has been helping SMEs in Singapore to grow their businesses since it started its operations in 1997 and has since served more than 13,000 SMEs from over 20 vertical markets. With the Start Digital initiative, M1 now plays an even more significant role in supporting SMEs to help them overcome barriers in adopting digital solutions. With a total of 12 solutions across five categories, SMEs will be more well placed as they embark on their digital journey.

This step is part of M1’s future plans to participate in more of IMDA’s initiatives catered for SMEs, and introducing more made-to-measure solutions for businesses to adopt ICT and business services and products seamlessly. For greater collaboration, M1 is also exploring to provide more opportunities for SME owners to connect and share about their businesses, as well as to be updated with the latest and upcoming industry trends.

“Digital technologies are transforming every part of Singapore’s economy as we move further ahead in our goal to become a smart nation. SMEs are a crucial part of our local ecosystem and M1 is proud to support their digital transformation efforts, helping them improve operations and boost revenue streams. This is the first in a series of steps that we have planned for our SME customers, and we are excited to see our efforts translate into solid outcomes as we increase our focus on the enterprise business,” said Mr Willis Sim, Chief Corporate Sales and Solutions Officer, M1.
