1. Can I keep my mobile number when I switch to M1?
Sure, you can request to keep your mobile number during sign-up at any M1
Shop or by visiting
www.m1.com.sg. You can use a temporary number we issued to you while we process your request.
Do make sure that you have completed your contract, otherwise, your current service provider may impose an early termination charge.
2. When can I use my port-in number?
Usually, it will take a business day after your SIM card/eSIM is activated. We'll SMS you when porting starts.
3. What should I do to switch a mobile number that is registered under someone else when I sign up for an M1 mobile line ?
Simply head down to any M1 Shop and inform our colleague of your request. Very importantly, you must present the original identity document of the party who consents to the transfer of mobile number to you and a Letter of Authorization. Here’s a sample for your
reference.
4. How will I know if my porting request is successful?
You will receive two SMS notifications:
- The first SMS will confirm whether your request has been approved or rejected by your previous service provider.
- The second SMS will notify you once the process is complete, allowing you to use your M1 SIM card/eSIM with the ported number.
