  1. Who can take part in this SwitchUp (trade-in) program?
    Any customer who has an eligible trade-in device can participate this program.

  2. How does this program work?
    Lower the price of your new device when you trade-in with us and apply your M1 Sunshine vouchers upon recontract.

  3. Where can I redeem this promo?
    There are 5 participating M1 shops for this 5G Trade-in Program: Peranakan Place, Tampines Mall, IMM, WestMall and Parkway Parade with daily Operating Hours for this program: between 12pm – 4pm and 5pm – 9pm (with Lunch break between 4pm-5pm)

  4. What do I need to bring for this SwitchUp program?
    You will be required to hand in the eligible device. Other device accessories (including your device adaptors, USB cables etc) are not required to be handed in.

  5. What do I need to do with my device before I bring in for this SwitchUp program?
    You will need to ensure your devices are backed up, OEM lock removed, factory setting reset done and SIM/memory card removed before proceeding to M1 shops to trade-in. You will also need to remove any device casing and screen protectors before handing over the device to our trade-in specialists to evaluate your device conditions.

  6. Can I trade-in more than 1 device?
    Only 1 device is allowed for trade-in on this program.

  7. My device has some defects, sometimes it is not working or cannot be powered up. Can I still participate in the trade-in program?
    The device that you bring in for the trade-in needs to be in working conditions. Devices with the below condition met are considered acceptable as working devices.
    - Can be powered on and off
    - Touch screen is functional
    - Free from corrosion
    - Free from dents or cracks
    - Free from burnt or discoloration
    - All device parts are intact
    If you are unsure of whether your device condition may be acceptable, you can proceed to any of our participating 5 M1 shops listed to get our trade-in specialists to evaluate your device.

  8. My Device has some defects, can I participate for the trade-in program?
    No, devices with defects will not be acceptable. If unsure of device conditions, you can proceed to any of the 5 M1 shops listed to get trade-in specialist to evaluate your device.

  9. What are the defects that will affect my trade-in program?
    • Device cannot be powered on
    • Touch screen is not functioning
    • Device has sign of corrosion
    • Device has burnt/discoloured screen
    • Device has missing parts
    • Device has dents/cracks

  10. Will my device be acceptable for the trade-in if it has gone through any hardware or software modifications?
    The device that you bring in for the trade-in needs to be in its original state and with original parts.

  11. Do I need to remove my screen or pin lock from my device?
    The device that you bring in for the trade-in needs to have OEM lock (ie. iTunes, iCloud, Samsung Account, Google Account etc) and all other passwords (ie. screen/pin/fingerprint lock, Face ID) removed.

  12. How do I turn off or remove "Find My iPhone", "Find My iPad", "iCloud", "Gmail", "Google account", "Samsung account" or "Find My Mobile"?

  13. I forgot to back-up my data before resetting the device back to factory default settings. Are you able to help retrieve the data?
    After factory reset, we will not be able to retrieve any of your past data. Please ensure you have done all data back-up before doing reset or handing in your device.

  14. Do I have to remove all accessories from my device (such as screen protector and back cover)
    All accessories including device casing, screen protectors, etc are to be removed before handing over your device for the trade-in.

  17. Can I sign up for a new mobile number and contract for this trade-in?
    Yes, this offer is valid for both new or recontracting customer. You will be required to sign up a new mobile number or recontract on the eligible mobile number and to the selected below bill price plans.

  18. Am I restricted to recontract on these bill plans? Can I upgrade my existing plan when I recontract?
    The minimum requirement for your recontract would be on the adjacent plans listed in Q16. However, you may recontract on a higher bill plan

  19. Can I switch to a Bespoke Flexi instalment plan?
    Yes, the SwitchUp Program offer is valid for recontract on our Contract with Device plans with 2-year contract or any New Bespoke Flexi plan sign up.
