1. Criteria for Sunriser membership:
    1. Customer's line must be with M1 for at least 12 months and have an average monthly billed amount of at least $300 for the last 6 consecutive months.
    2. Max+ plan customers automatically qualify.

  2. The following customers are excluded from Sunriser membership:
    1. foreigners under a work permit; or
    2. minors under the age of 21 years old.

  3. If a member terminates his Sunriser line, all his Sunriser benefits will cease with immediate effect. Should he re-subscribe to M1, he must meet the qualifying criteria to be reinstated.

  4. If a Sunriser opts out of or downgrades his bill plan from Max+ plan, all his Sunriser benefits will cease.

  5. Sunriser membership is for a period of 12 months, and may be renewed on an annual basis.

  6. All Sunriser benefits are non-transferable and cannot be extended after the expiry of the Sunriser membership.

  7. Customers who have outstanding bill payment with M1 will not be recruited as new Sunriser. If an existing Sunriser has outstanding bill payment with M1 at the time expiry of his Sunriser membership, his membership may be renewed (provided that renewal requirements are met), however customer will not be able to enjoy Sunriser benefits until he has settled his outstanding payment.

  8. Customers on fixed corporate data lines are not eligible for Sunriser program.

  9. All Sunriser terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice. M1 reserves the right at its discretion to reject any customer application for the Sunriser membership, and to revise or amend the qualifying criteria without prior notice.

Membership Renewal

  1. Sunriser who are on Max+ plan will have their Sunriser membership renewed automatically as long as the Sunriser's line continues to be on Max+ plan.
  2. Sunriser who are on other bill plans must incur an average monthly bill of at least $300 in the preceding 12 months, in order to have their Sunriser membership renewed.

Handset Re-contract Voucher

  1. Sunriser on Max+ plan with monthly subscription of $228, are entitled to a $500 Handset Re-contract Discount off the normal 2-year promotional price of any handset at M1 Shops.
  2. For a new M1 line on Max+ plan with monthly subscription of $228, the Sunriser will receive a $500 Handset Re-contract Discount at the completion of his 12-month Sunriser membership or upon renewal of his Sunriser membership.
  3. For existing customers who change/upgrade their bill plans to Max+ plan with monthly subscription of $228, they will receive a $500 Handset Re-contract Discount if the following conditions are fulfilled:
    1. Customer has the M1 line for at least 12 months, and
    2. Customer has no existing handset contract, or if there is an existing handset contract, the term must exceed 11 months.
  4. Customers with no handset contracts or have completed 20 months of their existing contracts are eligible to re-contract at the advertised price; additional $250 and $350 applies on the phone offers for customers who have completed at least 11 months of their normal handset contract and/or iPhone handset contract respectively.
  5. For a Sunriser who is on other bill plans apart from Max+ plan, he will receive a Handset Re-contract Discount of $200 in the first year of membership. The Handset Re-contract Discount issued in the second year of membership will be between $350 and $500, depending on the usage incurred in the preceding 12-month period. The Handset Re-contract Discount is valid for one year.
  6. Sunriser with a Take3 Service Contract are not entitled to any Handset Re-contract Discounts under Sunriser membership.
  7. To redeem the Handset Re-contract Discount, the Sunriser line must not be tied to any existing handset contract, or if there is an existing handset contract, the term must exceed 11 months.
  8. Each Sunriser who redeems the Handset Re-contract Discount must commit to a new two year handset contract.
  9. One Handset Re-contract Discount is only issued for each 12 months of Sunriser membership completed with M1.
  10. The Handset Re-contract Discount and/or any unutilized amount in the discount cannot be exchanged for cash, accessories or offset against any M1 bill.
  11. The Handset Re-contract Discount cannot be stacked with any other benefits or discounts except for SunPerks Handset Re-contract Discounts
  12. The Handset Re-contract Discount is limited to one redemption per re-contract under any circumstances.
  13. Any Handset Re-contract Discount which is not utilized within the vaildity period shall be treated as forfeited and Sunriser will not have any recourse against M1.
  14. M1's General Terms and Conditions and applicable specific terms and conditions, as published at, are deemed incorporated herein and shall also apply.

Free Activation Fees on Data Passport

  1. Effective from 18 December 2015, Sunrisers are entitled to free activation for Data Passport services.
  2. Service activation is upon customer's request.
  3. Upon service activation, $10 / $50 subscription fee per selected Data Passport country or Europe Data Passport will be charged respectively. The $10 / $50 subscription fee will be charged monthly.
  4. An additional $5 monthly subscription fee will apply if you are already subscribed to M1’s Multi-SIM service. This additional $5 monthly subscription fee applies irrespective of the number of Data Passport countries selected and Multi-SIMs subscribed.

Waiver on Subscription Fees

  1. Sunriser are entitled to free subscription for the Caller Number Display and Roaming services.
  2. Service activation is upon customer's request. For customer who has already subscribed to Caller Number Display and/or Roaming, the service(s) will continue to be active upon the commencement of Sunriser membership at no charge.
  3. Roaming service may not be available on mobile lines that are barred from making IDD connections. Please call the 24-hour M1 Customer Service Hotline at 1627 for further queries.

Free SIM Card Upgrade / Backup

  1. Sunriser are entitled to receive one free SIM card upgrade/backup during the 12-month of Sunriser membership period.
  2. Sunriser are also entitled to a free one-time phonebook download at the point of the SIM card upgrade/backup. Subsequent downloads will be charged at $5 each.
  3. To enjoy the SIM card upgrade/backup benefit, please visit any M1 Customer Service Centre.

Discount on Accessories

  1. Applicable to selected handphone and iPhone accessories.
  2. Discount only applies to full-priced items.
  3. Handphone and iphone accessories are subject to stock availability.

Handset Exchange

  1. Sunriser are entitled to an exchange of a handset within 14 days from the date of purchase, subject to production of M1 receipt.
  2. The exchange is limited to manufacturer's faults or defect(s) and no other causes - including misuse, negligence, breach or damage in any way caused by the customer.
  3. All handsets which are returned to M1 must be complete with all bundled accessories, software, manuals, as per the original packaging.
  4. Sunriser may only exchange for a handset which is the same brand and model which was purchased, subject to availability.
  5. The exchange is not applicable for BlackBerry and Apple devices.
  6. For Samsung handsets, this exchange policy is only valid within 7 days from the date of purchase.
