1. This M1 mPOS Device Contract is open to both new and existing customers of M1 Limited (“M1”). New and existing customers will start their service subscription commitment period on and from their date of purchase of the subsidized mPOS device (“Device”), up to 24 months thereafter (the “Commitment Period”).
  2. As the mPOS service is a Value Added Service (VAS), customers must subscribe or have an existing subscription to M1’s mobile services for the Commitment Period of 24 months from the date of purchase of the Device in order to be entitled to the Device subsidy. In the event that the customer prematurely terminates this contract or the subscription of M1’s services during the Commitment Period of 24 months, he shall pay to M1 the applicable early Termination Charges stated in Table 1, as follows:

  4. Customer who defaults on payment of his bill and is terminated by M1 for non-payment or other lawful reasons during the Commitment Period shall also pay to M1 the applicable early Termination Charges as stated in Table 1.
  5. If the customer’s subsidized Device is lost or stolen during the Commitment Period, customer shall either:
    1. Buy a new Device at the recommended retail price and continue with the subscription of M1’s services until the end of the Commitment Period; or
    2. Prematurely terminate subscription of M1’s services before the end of the Commitment Period and pay M1 the early termination penalty as stated in Table 1.

    Amounts listed in Table 1 are inclusive of 7% GST and are subject to change according to prevailing GST Rate.

  6. Customer shall not temporarily disconnect M1’s services during the Commitment Period.
  7. Customer shall not transfer the M1 line bound by this Device Contract during the Commitment Period.
  8. M1’s General Terms and Conditions and applicable specific service terms and conditions as published at www.m1.com.sg, are deemed incorporated herein and shall apply. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these terms and conditions and M1’s General Terms and Conditions, such conflict or inconsistency shall, in the absence of any express agreement to the contrary, be resolved in the manner most favourable to M1 to the fullest extent permissible under applicable laws.
