M1 raises S$500,000 at the 15th annual M1 Charity Golf
SINGAPORE, 23 August 2018 – M1 Limited (M1), with the continual support of its business partners, has raised S$500,000 for its adopted charities at its 15th annual M1 Charity Golf fundraising event.
Held at the Sentosa Golf Club, funds raised at today’s tournament will go to M1’s adopted children and youth charities, including Beyond Social Services, Brahm Centre, the Children-At-Risk Empowerment Association (CARE), and the M1 Students Support Fund which provides supplementary support to school-going children from low income families.
“At M1, we recognise that the long-term success of our business is closely linked with the well-being of the communities we operate in. We have been raising funds for programmes at our adopted charities to help children and youth to achieve their full potential and lead meaningful lives. M1 Charity Golf, started on this premise and now in its fifteen year, reinforces our corporate social responsibility efforts to create greater impact in our shared communities. We deeply appreciate the unstinting and generous support our business partners and staff have extended to M1 Charity Golf, and to our beneficiaries,” said Mr P. Subramaniam, Chief Marketing Officer, M1.
“Over the years, working with at-risk youths has become increasingly complex with rising youth mental health issues and family dysfunction situations. We are deeply grateful for M1’s financial support that has helped to sustain this critical work of helping disadvantaged youths turn their lives around and build a better future for themselves and the community. Thank you for being our pillar of strength and Patron of Youths!” said Dr John Tan, Executive Director, CARE Singapore.
