    M1 Prepaid Broadband Service is an exciting high speed mobile internet service offered by M1.It allows you to enjoy seamless internet access on-the-go. You can surf, email, stream music and download files anywhere using HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) technology with no contracts to sign and no bills to pay later. With an advanced HSPA and 4G network, M1 gives you an outstanding coverage to access internet wherever you may be.

    1. Prepaid Broadband (Normal/ Micro SIM)

      M1 Prepaid Broadband allows you to enjoy 9 hours within 30 days or 5 consecutive days’ of unlimited wireless broadband access throughout Singapore via M1 3G network.

    2. Prepaid Data (Micro/ Nano SIM)

      M1 Prepaid Data allows you to enjoy 1GB (within 30 days) of wireless broadband access throughout Singapore via M1 4G network.

  2. What is 4G?

    M1 4G can deliver download speeds of up to 300Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50Mbps.

  3. What is HSPA?

    High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) is technological evolution of 3G and provides faster data transfer speeds and reduced latency for users.

  4. How fast is M1 Prepaid Broadband?
    1. Prepaid Broadband (Normal/ Micro SIM)

      With M1 Prepaid Broadband plans, you will experience download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps*.

    2. Prepaid Data (Micro/ Nano SIM)

      With M1 Prepaid Data plans, you will experience download speeds of up to 300Mbps*.

    * Actual bandwidth and speed experienced will depend on several factors, including broadband device/equipment used, radio conditions, network traffic and destination server.

  5. Is M1 Prepaid Broadband available everywhere in Singapore?

    M1 3G Mobile Broadband service is available everywhere in Singapore.

    M1 4G Mobile Broadband service is available everywhere in Singapore except in MRT/express way tunnels, where 3G network will be available. We will continue to enhance and expand our 4G network coverage.

  6. How will I know that I am connected to 4G network on my tablet/laptop?

    The 4G signal will be reflected on your 4G tablet signal bar. For 4G Mobile Broadband USB stick used on laptops, it will be reflected in the connection manager software.

    Existing Prepaid Data customers who wish to enjoy 4G service have to perform a top-up (any amount) to the Prepaid Data card. After the top-up, disconnect and re-connect to the network to start surfing on 4G!

  7. Can I use the M1 Prepaid Broadband overseas?

    No, the M1 Prepaid Broadband service is only available to customers within Singapore via M1 network.

  8. Can I make phone calls, SMS or MMS with the M1 Prepaid Broadband/ Prepaid Data card?

    No, the M1 Prepaid Broadband/ Prepaid Data card is only for local data usage only. Voice calls, SMS or MMS, would not be available to customers.

  9. Can I use the M1 Prepaid Broadband/ Prepaid Data card if my equipment (e.g: mobile broadband device) is locked to my home network operator?

    No. If your mobile broadband device is locked to your home network operator, you cannot use the device with the M1 Prepaid Broadband/ Prepaid Data card.

  10. Is there an expiry date to the M1 Prepaid Broadband/ Prepaid Data Card?

    Yes, the M1 Prepaid Broadband/ Prepaid Data Card carries an expiry date indicated on the packaging.

    1. Prepaid Broadband (Normal/ Micro SIM)

      If you activate your M1 Prepaid Broadband Card before this date, you will be able to enjoy 9 hours within 30 days or 5 consecutive days of unlimited local data usage.

    2. Prepaid Data (Micro/ Nano SIM)

      If you activate your M1 Prepaid Data Card before this date, you will be able to enjoy 1GB of local data usage within 30 days.

      You can continue to perform a top-up, activate and continue using the card within 90 days from the end of the credit validity period.

  11. What is the difference between Day Plan, Hour Plan and Data Bundle Plan?

    For Day Plan, you can enjoy 5 of unlimited internet access whereas Hour Plan/ Data Bundle give you the flexibility to enjoy the internet access within 30 days or upon completion of your credit bundle.

  12. For Prepaid Broadband, can I switch from Day Plan to Hour Plan and vice versa?

    You are allowed to switch plan after your credit expires. However, you can extend your existing plan by simply topping up your card.
