    The BlackBerry Internet Service™ is a mobile email service that is designed for Individuals and Small Businesses. It allows you to set up a maximum of 10 different Internet-based POP3 email accounts such as Hotmail, Gmail or POP3/Internet Service Provider (ISP) email.

  2. What is the difference between BlackBerry Internet Service™ and BlackBerry Enterprise Solution™?

    The BlackBerry Internet Service™ is a mobile email service designed for individuals with personal email accounts on the POP3 email platform without a dedicated email server set-up. With this service, you can simply set up your own email account over the Internet or via your BlackBerry® device.

    The BlackBerry Enterprise Solution™ is a mobile email service designed for businesses that use the Microsoft® Exchange or Lotus® Domino® email platform. There will be a BlackBerry Enterprise Server™ connected to your company email server, providing you wireless access to all company emails, contacts and calendar through Push technology.

  3. How many email accounts can I set up with BlackBerry Internet Service™?

    You can set up, up to ten POP3 email accounts on your BlackBerry device.

  4. What types of email accounts can BlackBerry® Internet Service support?

    The BlackBerry Internet Service™ can support most Post Office Protocol (POP3) and Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) accounts, including Microsoft MSN Hotmail Plus and Yahoo! Mail Plus.

  5. What types of attachments does BlackBerry Internet Service™ support?

    The BlackBerry Internet Service™ supports the following types of attachment:

    You have to create a new BlackBerry Internet Service™ account via your device or click here to set up your email accounts (maximum of 10). Once completed, all emails will be directed to your BlackBerry® device.

  1. What are the hardware requirements for using BlackBerry Internet Service™?
    To install the Blackberry® Desktop Software, you will need the following:
    • Internet/email enabled PC with Intel486 processor or higher Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
    • Microsoft Outlook/Microsoft® Exchange/Microsoft Schedule+/Lotus® Notes/Lotus® Organizer/Netscape

  2. What are the system requirements to be able to log onto my Internet-based BlackBerry Internet Service™ account?
    • Internet Explorer 5.01/5.5/6.0 or higher/Netscape Communicator 4.08/4.58 or higher with JavaScript enabled.
    • Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP or Macintosh OS 9.0/10.0/10.1/10.2.

  1. How do I import/export my Outlook Address Book to my BlackBerry Internet Service™ Address Book?
    • From Microsoft Outlook® main screen, go to File > Import and Export. The Import and Export Wizard will appear.
    • From ‘Choose an action to perform’ list select ‘Export to a file’ then click ‘Next’ to continue. The ‘Export to a file’ window will appear.
    • From ‘Create a file of type’ list select ‘Comma Separated Values (Windows)’.
    • Select the folder to which you wish to export your Outlook Address Book. Save your file.
    • Click ‘Finish’ to complete the export of the address book to a comma separated value (.csv) file.
    • Name and save the file in any location.
    • Map the custom fields and select ‘Finish’.
    • A file with extension “.csv” will appear.
    • From the BlackBerry Internet Service™ site, login and go to the ‘Address Book’ menu.
      Note: The address book should be empty.
    • Select ‘Import’.
    • Browse and select your .csv file.
    • Click ‘Add’ and your BlackBerry Internet Service™ Address Book will have all your contacts.

  2. Where can I find the Personal Identification Number (PIN) and IMEI for my BlackBerry® device?
    • From the Home screen of your device > go to Options > Select Status OR
    • Remove the battery cover and the battery > refer to the PIN & IMEI on the label placed above the SIM card.

  3. Can I continue to access other applications when I am on a phone call with my BlackBerry® device?

    Yes, you can access other applications except receiving/sending of emails and browsing of Web/WAP pages.
