    If you are subscribed to the SMS categories, you will receive the news alerts throughout the day, between 6am to 12 midnight. If you are subscribed to the MMS categories, the alert will be pushed to you between 8pm to 9:30pm.

  4. How can I subscribe to Channel NewsAsia SMS & MMS News?

    You can subscribe to Channel NewsAsia SMS & MMS News by sending an SMS “cna” to 14602222. You will then receive a return message listing the types of news categories available for subscription. Once you have decided on the news service that you would like to receive news updates from, simply reply with the corresponding option number.

    Monthly subscription for each category varies from $3.21 to $6.42 (including GST) depending on which category you are subscribed to.

  7. How many news alerts can I expect to receive daily?

    For each MMS category you are subscribed to, you will receive 1 alert daily which will consist of 3 to 4 full stories. And for each SMS category you are subscribed to, you will receive 4 alerts on every weekday and 2 alerts each for Saturday and Sunday.

  8. Will I still receive the news alerts when I am overseas?

    Yes, you will continue to receive the news alerts, as long as the overseas operator’s network that you are roaming on is supported.

  9. How many stories are there in a MMS alert?

    Each MMS alert comprises of 3 images and a short write up of the 3 articles.

  10. How many Breaking News alerts will I receive in a month?

    There will be an average of 15 breaking news alerts within a month. It will also be dependant on if there is any big newsworthy story which happened during the month.
