  1. What is the monthly subscription after 2 years when my contract ends?
    The monthly subscription remains at $40 / month for the 2-year Data Unlimited Plan.

  2. What are the iPad 2 models offered by M1?
    We will be offering iPad 2 Wi-Fi+3G models in both black and white, of 16GB, 32GB as well as 64GB.

  3. Can I use my Sunriser voucher, Re-contract voucher or M1 Shop voucher for iPad 2?
    No, Sunriser and Re-contract vouchers are only applicable for mobile phones not iPad 2. However, M1 Shop vouchers can be used for iPad 2.

  4. I am currently on M1 mobile plan, can I sign up for Multi-SIM service for iPad 2?
    Yes, you can sign up for our Multi-SIM service at $10.70 / month and purchase the iPad 2 at the non 2-year contract price.

  5. What is MicroSIM and how is it different from the normal 3G SIM card?
    MicroSIM has dimensions of 15 mm × 12 mm. It is for device that uses the smaller SIM. The difference between a MicroSIM and a normal 3G SIM is simply the size.


  6. Can I use my MicroSIM on a normal handset? If not, then how can I use it interchangeably with my iPad and handset?
    MicroSIM should only be used on devices that support the MicroSIM. Any attempt by users to use it on non-supported devices may cause damages to the devices or the service not to work properly.


  7. Can I cut my own normal 3G SIM card to make it a MicroSIM?
    We do not recommend user to shave down their normal SIM to make it into a MicroSIM as it may damage the SIM card or cause damages to the devices after that.


  8. What is the memory size for MicroSIM card? How many phonebook entries?
    Your MicroSIM has a capacity to store 35 short messages. Once 35 messages are stored, your card cannot receive any new text and you need to delete the existing messages once you read them. Your MicroSIM can also store up to 1000 phonebook entries* (name and telephone numbers) and serve as a “mobile” telephone directory.

    *Only for supported devices.


  9. What is the highest speed M1 Data Plans can support?
    The service can support a downlink of up to 7.2Mbps and a uplink of up to 2Mbps.


  10. I am currently on a 24 months contract for Mobile Broadband 7.2Mbps plan with a MicroSIM. Can I switch my plan to a M1 Data Plan?
    No, customers with existing contracts are not allowed to switch plans.


  11. How much do I need to pay for Voice and SMS service if I put the postpaid MicroSIM into a supported handset?

    Local Airtime Charges Peak Hours (Mon - Sat, 9am - 9pm)
    1st min. at 21.4¢, 2nd min. onwards at 10.7¢

    Off-Peak Hours (Sun, Public Holidays, Mon - Sat, 9pm - 9am)
    5.35¢ per min

    Charged by 1st min. block, followed by 6 sec. block
    Video Call Charges 16.05¢ per min. (charges apply in blocks of 1 min.)
    SMS Charges 5.35¢ per SMS
    MMS Charges 5.35¢ per local MMS

  12. Can I subscribe to other Value Added services like IDD, Roaming, Blackberry, Connecting Tones^, CLIP services with M1 Data Plans for iPad?
    Except for Blackberry VAS, you can subscribe to all the other Value Added services including Roaming and IDD.
    ^ With effect from 1 March 2011, Bye Bye Ring Ring service will be renamed as Connecting Tones.

  13. I am holding a normal 3G SIM on Mobile Broadband 7.2Mbps plan, can i change my 3G SIM to MicroSIM? How much does it cost?
    You can change your SIM at $19.26. Changing from normal 3G SIM to MicroSIM is only applicable for customers who are subscribing the Mobile Broadband 7.2Mbps plan.
