About M1
Lending a helping hand
M1 is actively involved in the community, engaging and building relations with the various segments of Singapore society. In supporting a range of causes and activities, we demonstrate our care, concern and commitment to responsible corporate citizenry

As an avid supporter of the arts, and together with The Necessary Stage, we presented the eight edition of the annual M1 Singapore Fringe Festival with the theme “Art & Faith”, in February 2012.

In an effort to enliven Singapore’s dance landscape for contemporary dance works and contribute to the advancement of this art form, we recently expanded our support of the arts with the sponsorship of two leading homegrown contemporary dance schools - T.H.E Dance Company and Frontier Danceland, to help nurture the growth of local dance and dance talents.

And, in recognition of our support to Singapore’s arts scene, M1 was presented with the Distinguished Patron of the Arts Award 2012, for the 12th consecutive year.

M1’s participation in the sports arena may be represented by the sponsorship of series of events including the Mission Foods Beach Netball, Nations Cup 2012 as well as the Li-Ning Singapore Open 2012. We also continued to partner Netball Singapore in promoting the sport in schools, at the clubs and national levels with the M1 Talent Identification (TID) Programme and M1 Schools Challenge League (SCL).

Continuing our philanthropy spirit, our annually staged M1 Charity Golf and M1 Charity Carnival, are two key fund-raising events that further accentuate our contribution to our adopted charities, and which are passionately supported by our staff, business partners and associates.

Some of the beneficiaries who have benefited from M1’s contribution are the seriously ill children, the hearing-impaired, people with physical disabilities and the elderly.

We also worked together with the Ayer Rajah Community Centre Youth Club on a community-charity project and presented the first ever M1 Project Communi’BAKE 2012 event staged in July 2012, successfully achieving the Guinness World Record of the 'World’s Largest Cupcake Mosaic’, made up of 20,000 cupcakes!

M1’s adopted charities are Beyond Social Services, Children-At-Risk Empowerment Association, Children’s Cancer Foundation, Singapore Children’s Society and the Spastic Children’s Association of Singapore.

Beyond fund-raising, M1’s employees express unwavering enthusiasm and dedication by investing their personal time to bring cheer to the children of our adopted charities during the school holidays and festive occasions, with the organisation of interesting and fun-filled activities, throughout the year.
