  1. What is Pay Per Use Roaming?
   

It is a service that allows all M1 Postpaid mobile customers who are not on M1 Roaming Subscription to roam without any registration and monthly subscription fees. Customers on Pay Per Use Roaming only need to pay for what they use while roaming.

Customers on Pay Per Use Roaming can enjoy the following roaming services:

   
Roaming coverage in over 230 countries/territories
Voice calls, SMS and Video Calls
Missed Call Alert
     
   

From 1 July 2011, all new Pay Per Use Roaming customers will enjoy only include Voice and SMS. To enable or disable Data roaming services (Data-related services eg. MMS, email and internet surfing will be available while roaming.), you can go to Manage My Account or please call 1627 for assistance.

     
  2. What are the benefits of using Pay Per Use Roaming?
    There are no registration and monthly subscription fees, so you only pay for what you use while roaming.
     
  3. What are the voice charges like?
    You only need to pay for what you use while roaming plus a 20% surcharge on all roaming charges.
     
  4. Which roaming destinations support Pay Per Use Roaming?
    Pay Per Use Roaming customers can roam in over 230 destinations, same as Roaming Subscription customers.
     
  5. How can I apply for Pay Per Use Roaming?
   

This Roaming Voice and SMS services will be automatically activated for all M1 postpaid mobile customers (above the age of 18) who are not on M1 Roaming Subscription. However, we advise that you confirm the service is activated before you travel by calling our Customer Service at 1627.

    You can call 1627 to check on the status.
     
  7. How can I deactivate Pay Per Use Roaming?
    You can do so by calling 1627.
     
  8. How do I make outgoing calls back to Singapore while overseas?
    You can make a hassle-free direct call by dialling:
     
   
     
  9. Can I make local calls within the overseas destination on Pay Per Use Roaming?
    Yes. Now you can make outgoing calls to both local and overseas numbers on Pay Per Use Roaming.
     
  10. Can I retrieve my voicemail while roaming?

  11. How do I contact M1 Customer Service while roaming?

  12. Can I perform call divert from my phone while roaming?
    Yes.
     
  13. What are my charges if I use SmartRoam SMS? Is it 20% more than what Roaming Subscription customers pay?
    No, you will be charged S$0.30 for every SmartRoam SMS.
     
  14. How much am I charged when using SMS, MMS and GPRS?
    An additional 20% surcharge on prevailing M1 Roaming Subscription rates applies.
