  6. Are there any registration and/or subscription fees to use the service?
    No.

  7. Is there any usage charge for this service?
Yes, the daily usage charge is $1.00, regardless of the number of calls you miss when you are overseas. The maximum monthly charge is $5, regardless of the number of days in which you've missed calls for a single trip abroad. If you do not miss any calls in a day, you will not be charged at all.

  8. I missed one call today. How much will I be charged?
MCA charges on a daily basis. For unlimited missed calls in a day (24 hour period, based on Singapore time 00:00 to 23:59), you will only be charged $1.00. If you've missed only 1 call, you will be charged $1.00. Even if you've missed 10 calls in a day, you will still be charged $1.00.

  9. If I've travelled for 15 days and have missed calls every day, what are my charges?
You only pay the maximum charge of $5.

10 . Why is it that I'm charged extra for incoming SMS while roaming, even after I've been billed for MCA?
The foreign operator to which you were logged onto while roaming may impose charges for your receiving of incoming SMS. This will be additional charges on top of the MCA usage charge.

11 . If I sign up for Roaming Subscription/Pay Per Use Roaming and MCA, what do I have to pay?

If you sign up for Roaming Subscription service, you need to pay a one-time registration fee of $20 and a monthly subscription of $10.

If you sign up for Pay Per Use Roaming service, there are no registration and subscription fees.

There are no registration or subscription fees for MCA.

12 . Why is it that when overseas, I get 6 MCA on Day 1, and none on Day 2 but my bill shows that I get 4 MCA on Day 1 & 2 MCA on Day 2?
This is because of the time difference between the country you were roaming in and Singapore time. MCA is billed based on Singapore time. For those 2 days of missed calls, you are charged only $2.

  13. What are the criteria necessary for me to receive an MCA when roaming?
    Your caller must:

Call from Singapore
Not subscribe to Caller Number Non-Display service
Not call from a private number or public phone.

If your caller is on a foreign network overseas, MCA may reflect the foreign operator's standard number. Receipt of the MCA will also be dependent on the foreign network. This means:

All Singapore originated incoming calls without CLIR will trigger MCA for the roaming customer.
All other originating sources may or may not generate MCA for the roaming customer, depending on whether M1 receives the caller CLI from the foreign operator

  14. What is the SMS that I will see on my mobile phone, after I miss a call?
    You will see this SMS:

  15. Sometimes a local number (from the country I'm roaming in) is reflected in my SMS, instead of my caller's number. Why is this so? Will I be able to call my caller back on that local number?
The number is a standard number set by the foreign operator for re-routed calls. You won't be able to reach your caller using that local number.

16 . So will I be charged in such a case?
Yes, you will still be charged as it is considered a missed call alert.

  17. If my phone is switched off and I have voicemail, will I still receive an MCA?
Yes, your call will also be diverted to voicemail, allowing your caller to leave a message for you.

  18. If my phone is switched off and I do not have voicemail, will I get an MCA?
    Yes, you will.

  19. Will I receive an MCA if my caller calls from a private number? Or who has Caller Number Non-Display service?
No, you will not receive an MCA in these cases.
