M1 customers enjoy excellent mobile coverage all over Singapore on M1's state of the art networks offering 2G, 3G, HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) and 4G services.

 
Services
As an innovative operator with an established brand, Singaporeans can rely on M1 for quality and value in mobile voice and data communications. The following highlights the key services.
M1 Broadband

Launched with M1's HSDPA network in December 2006, M1 Mobile Broadband offers wireless broadband access to Singaporeans anywhere and anytime. Plug and play devices are provided without charge for customers when they sign up. 

M1 became a full-fledged broadband player in August 2008 when it introduced M1 Fixed Broadband with download speeds of up to 100 Mbps.

The company also introduced M1 Prepaid Broadband, Singapore's first prepaid broadband card, in April 2009 so that occasional broadband users can also have short-term broadband access without taking up a contract.

M1 launched its high-speed fibre broadband service via the Next Generation Nationwide Broadband network (NGNBN), in September 2010.

Reputed for its ingenuity, M1 made available Singapore’s first 1Gbps plan for homes and businesses.  Four broadband plans and comprising of download speeds of 1Gbps, 100Mbps, 50Mbps and 25Mbps are offered to residential customers whilst, corporate customers are presented alongside with the options of a complete business solution and customised offerings, with downlink speeds of 10Mbps to 1Gbps on GPON and Active Ethernet technology. 

 
4G

M1 launched South East Asia's first Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, and conducted the first commercial rollout of the LTE network within Singapore's financial district in June 2011. On 15 September 2012, M1 launched the first and only nationwide 4G network service in South East Asia.

M1's 4G service operates on our dual band network in the 1800MHz and 2600MHz spectrum, on both street level and in-building coverage. M1's mobile users enjoy faster data access on their smartphones, tablets and mobile devices, with theoretical download speeds of up to 75Mbps and typical download speeds at fixed locations ranging from 6.9Mbps to 17.4Mbps.

With M1's 4G service, retail customers can enjoy an enhanced experience and richer multimedia applications such as high definition video streaming and online gaming, while our business customers can increase productivity with faster access to enterprise solutions such as remote access and cloud applications on-the-go.

M1 customers are also able to enjoy 4G roaming services in Hong Kong with our partners SmarTone and PCCW, and in Korea, with SK Telecom and KT.

 
3G
M1 launched its 3G services in February 2005 and revolutionised the way customers use their mobile phones. It allows them to do more on their mobile mobiles - from browsing the Internet and downloading music tracks and mobile content to watching the latest music videos and catching the latest news 'live'.  3G has also made video calls possible. With video calls, customers can make local and international video calls to family and friends, and see the parties they are calling.
 
GPRS
M1 was the first in SE Asia to conduct trials on GPRS in 1999, before introducing it in 2000. Today, many services are carried over the GPRS platform, including MiWorld on GPRS and data access via GPRS (SunSurf Mobile).
 
MiWorld Mobile
MiWorld Mobile, M1's mobile portal, has a wide range of mobile entertainment and information services. M1 customers can access the portal via GPRS or 3G-enabled handsets and get more fun out of their mobile phones. News and sports updates, games, movie trailers, videos, music, and many more exciting mobile services are all available on MiWorld Mobile.
 
Messaging
M1 makes communicating with family and friends a fun and interactive experience with its messaging services which include SMS, MMS, video calls and mobile instant messaging. M1's email solutions, such as its BlackBerry service, also provide customers with an easy and convenient way to access their emails on-the-go.
 
Roaming

With M1 roaming service available in over 230 countries and territories, M1 customers can stay connected with their family and friends wherever they go.

 
International Services
M1 connects its customers to the rest of the world on its Premier IDD 002 service and value call service IDD 021. M1 IDD services offer customers the highest connection quality at the most competitive rates. Customers can register for M1 IDD services on their mobile phone lines as well as their fixed lines at home or at work.
